Privacy Policy

Last updated 1 September 2026. This describes what PawnEasy Pro collects, why it exists, where it is kept and how to get rid of it.

Two kinds of people are covered here The shop that subscribes to PawnEasy Pro, and the shop's customers whose pledges the shop records. The shop decides what to collect about its customers and why; we hold and process it on the shop's instructions. If you are a borrower with a question about your own record, ask the shop you pledged with — they can answer it, and we cannot answer it for them.

Who we are

PawnEasy Pro is pawn shop management software for gold loan and pledge businesses in India, published and operated from Tamil Nadu, India. You can reach us at vexagate@gmail.com or on +91 96771 13006. The same address serves as our grievance contact under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect about a shop

  • The name, mobile number and email address of each person you add as staff, and the role you give them
  • Your business name, address, contact details and, if you upload one, your logo
  • Your branches, lockers, interest schemes and gold rates
  • Sign-in records: when an account signed in, and from which device
  • Your subscription status, which we receive from Google Play

What a shop records about its customers

This is the shop's data. We hold it so the shop can use it:

  • Customer name, mobile number, address and photograph
  • Identity documents — typically Aadhaar and PAN — and photographs of them
  • Pledged articles, their weights, purity and photographs
  • Loans, interest terms, payments, redemptions and receipts
  • Where each article is stored and every movement it has made

Identity numbers are encrypted before they are stored. An Aadhaar or PAN number is never held in a readable column, is never returned in full by the software, and is shown back only as its last four digits, only to staff whose role allows it. Nobody at PawnEasy Pro can read one either. How that works →

Why we hold it

  • To run the service you subscribed to — recording pledges, calculating interest, producing receipts and reports
  • To sign people in — a one-time password sent by SMS to the mobile number on the account
  • To notify — push notifications to the app about things that happen in your own shop
  • To bill — Google Play tells us whether your subscription is active; we never see your card
  • To support you — when you write to us with a problem, we look at the records needed to answer it

We do not sell data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use one shop's book to train anything or to inform another shop.

Where it is stored

On servers in Mumbai, India, operated by our hosting provider. Records are separated per shop, and the software cannot read across that boundary — a query for your books can only ever return your books.

Who else touches it

WhoWhat they getWhy
Our hosting provider (Mumbai)Holds the servers the data sits onTo run the service
Google PlayYour subscription and purchase statusBilling — they are the seller of record
Google FirebaseA device token for push notificationsTo notify the app
An SMS gatewayThe mobile number a one-time password is sent toTo sign you in
WhatsAppOnly what you send, from your own business accountReminders you choose to send to your customers

Reminders go out from your shop's WhatsApp Business account, not ours. That conversation is between your shop and your customer; we prepare the message and you decide whether it is sent.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account, because a pledge ledger is only useful if it goes back years. If your subscription lapses, nothing is deleted — your books become read-only and renewing restores writing straight away.

If you ask us to close your account and delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except anything we are required to keep for tax or legal reasons. Ask from the email address on the owner account, so we know it is you.

Your rights

  • See it — every report exports to CSV and every receipt is a PDF, from inside the software, without asking us
  • Correct it — customer and business details are editable; financial entries are corrected by reversal, so the trail stays honest
  • Take it elsewhere — the CSV exports are yours to import wherever you like
  • Delete it — write to us and we will close the account and remove the data
  • Complain — write to the address above. Under the DPDP Act you may also approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Children

PawnEasy Pro is business software and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for children.

This website

pawneasypro.com uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. That collects a truncated address and general details of your browser and device. It does not identify you, and there are no advertising or tracking cookies on this site.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will change the date at the top and tell account owners by email. Continuing to use the software after that means the new version applies.
