What PawnEasy Pro is

PawnEasy Pro is software for running a pawn shop: an Android app for the counter and a web application for the desk, both reading and writing the same books. It holds customers, gold and jewellery pledges, the articles themselves, interest, payments, redemptions, strongroom custody, KYC, receipts and reports.

The problem it is for

Most shops start with a notebook, and the notebook is not the problem — it is honest and it is fast. What it cannot do is work out interest for forty live loans at once, tell you which bangle is in which locker, remind a customer before they go overdue, or let the person at the desk see what the person at the counter just wrote. Those four things are what the software is for.

Who it is designed for

Pawn shops, gold loan and jewel loan businesses, and pawn brokers in India — from a single counter to a handful of branches. It assumes you are lending against gold and jewellery at short terms, that receipts matter, and that somebody will eventually ask you to prove where an article has been.

Android and web

The Android app is installed from an APK we provide; it is not on Google Play yet, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. The web portal runs in any current browser on any counter PC with no install. Both are included — there is no separate charge for the desktop side.

Languages

English, Tamil and Hindi throughout the product, chosen per member of staff rather than per shop, so a Tamil-speaking clerk and an English-speaking owner can use the same system at the same time. Receipts print in Tamil where you want them to. The Tamil vocabulary in the product and on this site is the same vocabulary — அடகு, வட்டி, சேமிப்பு — so the site and the software agree.

How the data is held

Aadhaar and PAN numbers are encrypted before they are stored and are never shown in full again anywhere in the product — staff with permission see the last four digits, which is enough to check a document and not enough to be worth stealing. Jewellery movements are append-only, so custody history cannot be quietly rewritten. Payments are reversed with a reason rather than deleted. The server is in Mumbai. Pricing and trial

One subscription for the shop, staff included, with no per-user charge — the current figures are on the pricing page. Every account starts with a fourteen-day trial with all features switched on and no card required.

Written documentation for every screen is at the guide, common problems and their fixes at support, and the questions people ask before buying at the FAQ. The support page carries the email address and phone number to reach a person.

What it deliberately does not do

It is not accounting software, it does not do payroll, and it does not price your gold for you — the rate board is yours to set each morning. There is no offline mode; the books live on the server, which is what makes them the same books everywhere. Why PawnEasy Pro sets out the rest of that list honestly.
